The DYBSA exists to further grow the baseball and softball talent in the DeWitt School District Area. This is done through Travel, Tournament, and Recreational programs. The travel/tournament philosophy is to develop as many players as possible for the high school baseball and softball programs, and not use a win-at-all cost mentality. The recreational program's goal is to grow the number and quality of players in DeWitt--to keep and attract as many DeWitt residents into baseball and softball as possible, and to provide a safe and fun experience for players.

Player Registration is now closed

DYBSA still has openings for eight-and-under girls’ softball for the 2012 summer season. Practices are starting up and we are looking for a few additional players to fill in empty roster spots.  8U softball is the perfect place for your daughter to learn about the game of softball and have fun this summer. Games begin on June 5, 2012, and the season will conclude the second week of July. If you have additional questions, or would like to register your daughter, please email DYBSA at dybsa@dybsa.org.

2 5/8" barrel bats are legal in all divisions of PONY Baseball. If 2 5/8" bat is a -3 (i.e 33 inches and 30 oz, basically a high school size bat), it must be BBCOR certified (stamped on the bat).

All other 2 5/8" barrel bats are legal.  (Currently there is no testing protocol for -5, -7, -9, etc bats, therefore Pony recognizes them as legal this year)

2 1/4" bats are legal in all Pony Baseball.  They must have a Bat Performance Factor (BPF) of 1.15 or less stamped on the bat.  In addition the bat must be stamped "approved for play in PONY Baseball"

Note: 2 3/4" Barrel bats are illegal

Please keep in mind that PONY has adopted these rules for 2012 and will review for the 2013 season.
